CHRISTI MACPHERSON

Hewn from the mud of - then thrown and fired* in - the forges of the Scottish Highlands, Christi MacPherson is a photographic artist now based in Fife. Most recently he has pursued a documentary/landscape style incorporating an absence of people; telling their stories through the environment and the objects left behind. He also has an interest in still-life work and portraiture.

Since finishing his photographic degree in Derby in the mid 90s he has had solo shows in Inverness, Dunfermline and Edinburgh. Christi also has shown in the Retina Scottish International Festival.

In the middle of this yawningly large period of time, he spent well over a decade as a graphic, multimedia and interface designer. Something that he’s forever surprised to see influence his work in myriad subtle ways

*I was going to say sculpted, but my physique is much more pot-like than fine sculpture.
