CHRISTI MACPHERSON
Born and brought up in the far north of the Scottish Highlands, Christi MacPherson is a photographic artist now based in Fife.
His work is predominantly led by contemporary archaeological thinking and ranges all the way from documentary landscape to still life to — now — working with The Glitch.
Since finishing his photographic degree in Derby in the mid-90s he has had solo shows in Inverness, Dunfermline and Edinburgh. He has also shown work at the Retina Scottish International Festival, Fire Station Gallery in Dunfermline and the Patriothall Gallery in Edinburgh.
He also worked in commercial photography for a number of years, working with various clients, ranging from high-profile corporations to musicians and small businesses.
In the middle of this yawningly large stretch of time, he spent about 15 years as a graphic, multimedia and interface designer; something that he's forever surprised to see influence his work in myriad subtle ways.
Christi has just graduated with distinction from the Falmouth MA in Photography, which has transformed his practice beyond recognition and changed his life immeasurably.
He is also an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
